Hyperlinks on Flicker
Soooo... I've been struggling to start this blog, you know, so it's perfect, and decided this morning to just dive right in with a simple tip that I use all the time and share as much as possible...
Hyperlinks on Flicker!
This is a very aesthetic way to share more info or direct people to a more detailed location when blogging, sharing, presenting the partner on your shot, link a song to create a mood or meaning to a photograph... so very useful!
There are two ways I know how to do it, the first one is a simple formula :
<a href="ADDRESS HERE">HYPERLINK HERE</a>
You replace ADDRESS HERE by the adress you want to share, for example
<a href="https://alwaysyourbestshot.blogspot.com/ ">WORD TO CLIC HERE</a>
And then replace WORD TO CLIC HERE by the word you use in text that will be highlighted to direct viewers to the new place...
<a href="https://alwaysyourbestshot.blogspot.com/ ">Sherlyn's Photo Blog!</a>
Once you clic done, it'll look like this on Flickr:
It can be one word or a little bit of text. It can even be cute symbols! ♫ ♡...
Just make sure that the symbols you want is compatible with Flickr, though!!! Sometimes they are not fitting and it'll just cut your text, or appear as a weird square or something...
I keep a Word document with a bunch of symbols I use often, as well as some links, but you can also fave a website on your browser, or google it each time too, of course!
That said, I said there was another way, the lazy way as i call it!
So in Flickr (on pc, not sure about on the phone you use...), you only add the address :
Then you hit done.
But that is not cute nor inspiring!!!
Go back in the description and the formula is made for you!
You only need to replace the second part!
And it'll look like this:
It works the same way for the links in the About section too, so if you want to share other medias, your favorite playlists, your best photo partner, your.... Go nuts!
The trick is to play and repeat, it'll become second nature!
Have fun!
Thank you SO much for this. I wasn't sure how this was done!
